We’re not sure how much of a boxing enthusiast you are, but we simply can’t wait to see Rocky getting back in the ring and on screen this November. Until then, however, we have the chance to see a somewhat different Sylvester Stallone, who is starring in British bakery Warburtons’ new advert. The A-list actor is taking the undefeated fighter spirit that made him famous worldwide into the world of baking, and it’s simply hilarious.
You might have heard that the 68-year-old Hollywood icon has become the ambassador of the family-owned company Warburtons. Stallone has been spied shooting the add in Bolton, Lancashire earlier this year, and we have been waiting for the commercial to hit the screens for a while now.
Dressed in a black and orange military-style outfit, the clip sees the actor calling the chairman of the baking firm Jonathan Warburton to pitch a movie idea in which he stars as one of the firm’s delivery drivers. The story moves forward as a Rocky-delivery guy is seen waking up early in the morning as he goes to extreme lengths to deliver the bread.
Since we’re not planning to spoil it for you, there are just a couple of details we’d like to point out. One of the funniest parts is the moment the Rambo star hops in his truck but finds himself holding an invisible steering wheel.
Then there’s also that part when Rocky battles rush hour traffic and finds himself stranded. Instead of giving up he decides to run on the hoods of the cars in front and get the bread delivered in time. The funny part is that the drivers waiting in line are simply mesmerized by the actor, so they don’t mind their vehicles getting damaged.
