We heard the Shelby GT500 was one heck of a car, packing a huge farm stud of horses and the awesome grunt of a beefed up V8 powerplant, but we never thought we’d get to see one destroying a dyno!
How’s that possible you may ask? Well, we can’t provide an accurate answer, because we really don’t know what exactly happened, but we have proof that a red convertible Shelby GT500 did bust a dyno.
Whether the whole equipment was overloaded by the pony’s power or it just backfired due to an internal malfunction we don’t know, but the video shows that the dyno basically blew up and the Mustang almost took off. In fact, the impact was so powerful that the car’s rear wheels were damaged as well.
To what extent, again, we don’t know, but we do know that this kind of thing is very dangerous for both the driver and the bystanders. Check out the video below.
