Shelby American has announced that the very first 2012 Shelby GT350 convertible fitted with a wide body kit will be auctioned off at this year’s Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction, which is scheduled to take place from September 26 through 28.
Based on the Mustang GT, the pony that will cross the block later this month is powered by a supercharged V8 mill that delivers 624 HP and sports the company’s massive brakes and an upgraded interior.
“We carefully documented the build of this car,” said Shelby American vice president of production Gary Davis. “Carroll was very excited about the new wide body option, so that was included on this car. It’s the first 2012 GT350 serial number from our anniversary year. It is a very special car.”
Besides selling the No.1 Convertible Widebody, Shelby American will also display some of its latest creations and offer rides to visitors in the Shelby Focus ST, supercharged GTS and Shelby GT350.
