Sena Prism Updated For Motovloggers

Motovlogging is a new expanding trend, and there’s money to be made out of it. That’s why Sena updated its Prism action camera with features that seem specially created for guys and girls rambling about stuff while riding their motorcycles.

Prism is now the first action camera from Sena to come with built-in Bluetooth connectivity so users can record quality sound straight over their footage through either the Ultra HD Voice Recording included mic or the Bluetooth helmet headset.

Why is this so important? Well, if you ever tried to record sound using a separate device for better quality, you know it’s quite a pain to perfectly match it with the video when you have to edit it later.

This means you also don’t have to do the ol’ ‘clap-your-hands-in-front-of-the-camera’ move to mark a reference point where it’s best to match the audio with the video as the Prism will do it automatically when it will start recording.

To aid with things, the recording can be started, stopped, and even shared using the Sena Bluetooth remote control or the Sena Bluetooth headset that has a Jog Dial.

The new Prism is capable of shooting in full 1080p at 30 fps and 720p at either 30 or 60 fps. Still images can be shot too at a maximum of 5 MP and burst shot is available too.

On a full battery, you’ll be able to blabber about things on camera for up to 2 hours in temperatures ranging from -10 to 55 degrees Celsius (14 - 131 F). The camera itself is rated water resistant, but there’s also a waterproof case on the offer.

A range of helmet- and motorcycle-designed mounts are available too, and the Prism can be used to record while it’s recharging, so if you plan a long route, just plug it into a power bank and forget about it running out of juice when things get interesting.
