With prices varying between £24,385 and £28,870 in the United Kingdom, the Seat Leon ST-based model is good to order starting September 1st, with first deliveries to follow this December. Just like the Skoda Octavia Scout, this lifestyle estate comes with permanent four-wheel drive, off-road looks, heaps of standard equipment and extra ground clearance.
The Barcelona-based manufacturer owned by the Volkswagen Group has confirmed that a compact SUV will arrive in 2016, but until then, the Seat Leon X-Perience will be the most off-road worthy model in the lineup. Available with a 2-liter TDI turbo diesel engine with either 150 or 184 PS, the latter offered exclusively with the DSG double-clutch transmission, this robust looking thing if offered in two trim level choices.

Starting with the SE 2.0 TDI, this specification is laden with goodies such as the aforementioned 4Drive all-wheel drive system with EDS control and XDS electronic differential lock, 17-inch twin-spoke alloy rims, black roof rails and tinted rear windows, as well as twin exhaust tailpipes and rear parking sensors. On the inside, Seat throws in dual zone climate control, leather on the steering wheel with orange stitching and an X-Perience badge, as well as cloth front sport seats with simile leather bolsters.

Paying £1,985 over the £24,385 entry-level Seat Leon X-Perience will get you the SE Technology trim level, bringing the Media System Plus and a 5.8-inch color touchscreen, satellite navigation, DAB radio, auto headlights, auto wipers and auto dimming rearview mirror. In addition to the previously mentioned, the cabin gets Alcantara upholstery and simile leather bolster. As for exterior enhancements, the SE Technology trim comes with LED lights front and rear, power folding mirrors and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Those opting for the Seat Leon X-Perience SE Technology can take things beyond with the Lux package, priced at £1,250. The comprehensive upgrade combines black leather upholstery with simil leather bolsters, heated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, headlight washers and heated washer nozzles, as well as chrome roof rails. Individual options abound with highlights such as a panoramic sunroof, towbar pre-install, Seat Sound audio system and an 18-inch space saver spare wheel.
