The Scion iQ is not our first choice when it comes to a vehicle that can take a long excursion into the middle of the Iraqi desert, not when Toyota's Land Cruiser is so much tougher. However, this pocket-sized car has been turned into a tank using custom graphics and a bucket-load of creativity.
The iQ probably wouldn't even stand a revolver shot and is powered by a wheezy 1.3-liter engine, but internet logic dictates every tiny car must at one time or anther be turned into a tank, like the smart fortwo with Wehrmacht colors we showed you in 2010.

The wrap is clearly inspired by US army tanks and even goes as far as to connect the front and rear wheels with a giant (fake) tracks.

The Scion iQ is not too long for this world. Production is probably going to stop within the current model year and Toyota has made it clear that it will not develop a replacement due to lack of demand. After only selling 150 models, Aston Martin's version called he Cygnet also got the boot treatment.

But as a curious little car with novelty value, the pocket sized Toyota is unbeatable. What's interesting about this iQ tank is that it doesn't belong to a boy racer or a company working on a SEMA show. It belongs to Armored Ink, a tattoo studio from Lake Elsinore, California, who bought the car in 2012 and recently had it wrapped. We've only managed to find a few pictures scattered across multiple Facebook pages, but it seems the inkers also have a Jetta tank.
