Since most of the British media is currently talking about Jeremy Clarkson, it appears celebrity wanna-be people like Russell Brand thought they might as well take a shot at stealing all the publicity. After all, we are talking about one of BBC’s greatest scandals in the public network’s history.
It’s not the first time the British comedian, actor, radio host and activist is trying to impress his fans with some sort of a stunt. Even though he achieved notoriety through his movie career, Brand also received media coverage for controversies such as his dismissal from MTV, his behaviour as a presenter at various award ceremonies and his drug use.

However, there’s more to this little spoof Russell just did than his constant urge to shock people. As a matter a fact, Jeremy Clarkson and him were colleagues for some time, working for the same BBC. Brand resigned from the network in 2008, following prank calls he made to actor Andrew Sachs on The Russell Brand Show.

Whether or not they actually have anything in common, this we can’t tell you, but it definitely looks like Brand wouldn’t mind getting back in the national television game for that matter. After all, Russell would be a more eco-friendly host that would even eat only green stuff, since he is a vegan. “She’s eco-friendly, runs on biodegradable fuel and social unity, just like me,” he says while wearing a peculiar outfit and acting crazy in front of the camera.

In a way, his act is quite accurate, since the eco-conscious abstract host is in fact slapping the presumed producer, who fails to bring him the right food.
