From time to time we stumble upon bike concepts which are so strong and striking that we just sit and wonder where's the industry heading, and why isn't the future already here.
Daniel Gunnarsson's Pioneer is such a machine, and what's even more interesting is that it is linked to Royal Enfield, a brand strongly associated with traditional designs. But this one is anything like that.
Gunnarsson's concept breaks all the bonds between classic bikes and Royal Enfield, even as a drawing and (so far) lacking any material prospects.
In fact the Pioneer is so much ahead other concepts we've seen lately, based on bikes or manufacturers way more commonly met in the design avantgarde... and this is simply awesome.
And with such a daring design come even bolder features, such as double-swingarm architecture, new steering principles, intriguing wheels.
And with features such as self balancing, the Royal Enfield is an even more spectacular new presence in the ethereal realm of bike concepts.
Even if we doubt Royal Enfield is too eager to jump from the Continental GT to the Pioneer, Mr. Gunnarsson deserves quite a loud round of applause. No, make it two!
