Roush Mustang Stage 3 RS3 Gets Approval from EPA and CARB

Judging by the facts it looks like Roush has decided to push the Mustang to its limits. As we have reported previously, the tuning company has released the Stage 2 package which offered mostly changes in matter of design. As it was expected, Roush decided to make some adjustments at the vehicle's power plant by releasing the Stage 3 performance package.

Furthermore, we have been informed that Roush has released the Stage 3 performance package, which is a true success. Under the hood of the wild stallion a Roush charger manages to rise the purebred’s racing potential at 540hp. Until now the Roush Mustang Stage 3 (RS3) was not available in all 50 states. The good news came after the tuning company gained approval from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to sell the RS3 in all of America.

This is certainly exciting news for ROUSH Performance, our Dealers and Mustang enthusiasts. Our engineering teams worked closely with various government agencies throughout the entire emissions testing process to receive final approvals. The 2012 RS3 offers ROUSH charged performance, handling and styling while also complying with all of the federal emissions requirements. We’re now in the process of working with our Dealers in all 50 states on their RS3 vehicle ordering needs,” said Gary Jurick, VP/General Manager of ROUSH Performance.

Aside the power boost provided by the legendary ROUSHcharger system the new performance package also offers tons of graphics which make the RS3 stand out from its Stage1 and Stage2 brothers. Hat tip to Dani for sending us the info!
