The Roskva electric motorbike was a very promising project undertaken by some very talented Norwegian engineering students. Well, while we had only previously seen the bike in sketches or 3D models, now we can see it in the . . . carbon (chassis and body made entirely of fibrous carbon).
It was revealed Saturday, July 7th, and it is a stunning-looking thing, we must admit. Furthermore, with all that carbon thrown in, its frame only weighs 25 kilos, so its 94 hp electric motor will push it to a top speed of 180 km/h (113 mph).
The five students have really worked hard to achieve these incredible numbers, and with some better batteries (current ones are 6kWh), the limit imposed on its top speed would be lifted, and it would be able to take the fight directly to sub 1-liter superbikes.
Design-wise, we say it surpasses any offerings from Brammo or Zero, and since it also offers better performance and range than both those other companies’ products, if it does make it into production, it will be a very sought-after machine.
