Celebrating 150 years of the Unification of Italy, the aftermarket specialists at Romeo Ferraris decided to launch a special dedicated tuning program for the occasion. They turned their attention to the MINI Countryman, with the model receiving not only styling upgrades, but a series of performance mods as well.

Finished in a blue matte paint and with the roof painted in the same color as the tuner’s Fiat 500 Abarth Chrome Anniversary, the bonnet and the tailgate of the MINI Countryman feature chrome racing stripes. In addition, Romeo Ferraris say that custom mirror caps featuring the Italian flag can also be added upon request.

Furthermore, the vehicle comes with black background headlights, a black grille and black side frames, and various specially designed badges. Finally, 19 inch OZ Racing II Ultralight alloys wrapped in Yokohama Advan Sport tires (size 225/40R19) come to round off the exterior package.

Inside the car we find white leather with contrasting ice blue stitching and blue piping, the tuner's logo embroidered on the headrests and the Italian flag highlighted on the back.

And we finally reach the icing on the cake: the performance upgrades. Thanks to a remapped ECU, a custom intercooler and a sports exhaust system - the same mods that apply to the MINI Cooper S versions, the MINI Countryman is now able to squeeze some extra 43 horsepower and 88 Nm of torque from the 1.6-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged unit as compared to the figures with which it leaves the factory.

The tuners have also worked on bringing the Countryman closer to the tarmac ad managed to do so with the help of an adjustable suspension which can lower the car by up to 50 mm. Also, the necessary stopping power is provided by upgraded brakes from Brembo featuring 328 mm perforated floating disks and 4 piston callipers.
