Rolls-Royce Says Phantom Demand Still Strong In Wake of Next Generation Model

Rolls-Royce is preparing to replace the ongoing Phantom, but demand for the current model is still strong. The British brand has announced its intentions of replacing the Phantom VII this year, and customers quickly ordered all 50 of the final series of the model.
Furthermore, clients have asked for more one-off examples of the Phantom VII, as well as requesting more bespoke collections to the range.

Rolls-Royce is not a brand that ignores requests like these, so it will keep developing “highly individual cars,” which will be made to satisfy demand “well into 2017.”

Production of the ongoing Rolls-Royce Phantom is set to end on the last day of this year, so the specialists from Goodwood still have time to build whatever their customers specify.

There is a possibility that Rolls-Royce will extend the deadline for the end of Phantom production into 2017, but there is no official word on this in the press release.

While Rolls-Royce is preparing to stop making the ongoing Phantom, the eighth generation of the British luxury car is getting ready for its debut. The brand describes it as the “Best Car in the World,” and representatives have announced that development has reached a new stage.

The new Rolls-Royce Phantom will feature an all-aluminum architecture, which will be manufactured at the company’s central facility in Goodwood. The representatives of the brand have published an image of the production line. Along with the new architecture, the new Phantom will bring updated powertrains, more technology, and an advanced platform.

Rolls-Royce is set to launch the new Phantom in 2018, and it will share its underpinnings with other models of the range. The seventh generation of the Phantom was introduced in 2003, making this model one of the longest running production luxury cars in the world, at least in the modern era.
