Another exquisite expo awaits the fans of the old-school, classic BMW models of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. The BMW Group Classic division will be bringing yet another impressive contingent at the Goodwood Revival 2014 event where BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad will be on display.

This weekend, BMW will also get involved in race action on the Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit with a couple of historic motorcycles, including a BMW RS 54 part of the BMW Group Classic collection. This is the first model in the company’s history that won a race after the Kompressor era.

The Goodwood Revival takes place on the estate of the Earl of March in the southern English county of West Sussex, and has been a fixture on the calendar for fans of historic motor sport since 1998. It also serves as an annual get-together for legendary drivers and riders and their erstwhile racing machines. This year’s meeting will include a spectacular tribute to British racing driver and three-times Formula One world champion (1969, 1971, 1973) Sir Jackie Stewart, whose career began 50 years ago with tests on the Goodwood Racing Circuit.

The BMW expo will include a Baroque Angel or, in other words, a BMW 502 fitted with a 2.6-liter V8 made of aluminum that used to be good for 100 HP back in the 1950s. The stand will also include a replica of how a dealership used to look like back then and customers will be able to witness firsthand how a sale was done back then.

As impressive as this might sound, it’s nothing compared to what Rolls-Royce is bringing out. The company is showing a 1950s-style replica of a body manufacturing facility by Hooper & Co Coachbuilders Ltd, the ones that used to make the bodies of Rolls-Royce cars by hand back in the day. At the Goodwood Revival 2014, a 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith with Empress Line body by Hooper will provide a fine all-round showcase for the body and interior manufacturing of the day.
