Here’s a car that has started testing on the Nurburgring a very long time ago. It’s called the Roding Roadster, and you’ll probably never buy one or see one for that matter, because only 23 will ever be built. Seems a shame to develop a ca on the ‘Ring and only build this few.
The Roadster 23 as it’s to be called is a mid-engined car built from lightweight materials and powered by a BMW six-cylinder engine with 320 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The car comes with a six-speed manual, linked to a locking limited slip differential.

In order to get to the low weight desired for the two-seater, Roding engineers opted for carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) for the chassis cell and aluminum and carbon for the rear subframe.

autoevolution will be attending the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
