Robert Llewellyn Tests 5 EV Bikes

Similarly to these 32% of Americans, we think that pure EVs have a good chance of powering us into the future. However, electric motors and all that regenerative stuff is genuinely better suited for use on a bicycle.
In this video, Robert Llewellyn tests out 5 different electric bikes, ranging from a simple electric bike with a small rear hub-mounted motor which you would mistake for a regular non-assisted bike, to the Zero proper electric motorbike, capable of a top speed of 150 km/h (90 mph).

We very much appreciated Robert’s very positive attitude and his enthusiasm for all which is ‘green’ and we should all be more like him, in this respect, because if we aren’t enthusiastic and eager to try, the car makers will continue to be complacent and use ‘green’ as a marketing tool rather than a genuine focus for their research. You can see he always has a smile on his face when a new piece of green tech catches his attention - we like that.

If electric drive doesn’t catch on in cars, and it may not, as it competes with more established propulsion methods which are also being updated, electric motorbikes and bicycles will definitely retain electric power, because for those types of vehicles, it’s without a doubt the future - even these relatively simple bikes tested in the video are impressive, we think.
