It’s amazing how Robert Downey Jr’s career just took off. From an average actor, his humor has propelled him to the top of the best payed actors list, where he’s enjoying the good life.
Not know for outrageous spending, Downey is still a keen driver, something that helps his professional life as well. In the first Iron Man movie, he drove a regular Audi R8 coupe, which he then switched for a V10 Spyder in the second movie.
The Avengers was all about Acuras, so at the very end of the movie, we got a glimpse of “Tony Stark’s” own creation, a $9 million supercar with jamming devices and nuclear power. What the car actually was is the concept version of the 2015 Acura NSX. It’s coming, just you wait!
But what about in real life? Robert Downey Jr was recently spotted getting behind the wheel of his Nissan GT-R, Japan’s mighty all-wheel drive supercar, powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6.
Back in 2010, Robert was named the voiceover announcer for Nissan, so it’s hard to believe he had to pay a lot of money for his GT-R. But still, we can’t think of any other celebrity that drives one of these, so full props to him!
