Former professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek has set a Guinness World Record for the “farthest reverse ramp jump by a car” with a total of 89 feet and 3.25 inches (27.2 meter). Dyrdek performed the stunt a Chevrolet Sonic.
Filmed for MTV’s “Fantasy Factory” at Six Flags Magic Mountain, the reverse jump is Dyrdek’s second automotive first in a Sonic, after the 360-degree kick-flip off a ramp performed three years ago.
“The Sonic is a great car for firsts,” said Dyrdek. “I have always been a Chevy guy, so when we decided we wanted to set a Guinness World Record for the finale of “Fantasy Factory,” using the Sonic again just made sense.”
The reverse jump will be aired on MTV on March 13, during the season finale of “Fantasy Factory”. Until then, you can have a look at the teaser video released by Chevrolet today.
