With only days until the Ride video game will be released, and this means you can still pre-order it and get a good deal, plus one of the Yamaha sport bike packages. So far Milestone has been quite busy adding bikes and locations to the virtual Ride world, and one of the latest machines in the stable is the Lightning LS-218.
Getting behind the bars of the LS-218 in Ride will definitely be a thrilling thing to experience, as the real life electric motorcycle is one of the fastest e-machines to currently roam the Earth. The bike got its name from the 218 mph (350.7 km/h) land speed record set at the salt flats in Bonneville.
With 200 horsepower at play and an instantaneous 228 Nm (168 lb-ft) torque at disposal, the Lightning LS-218 is a blast to ride, and a rather affordable machine for track rides, as it is available for less than what you’d have to fork out for an SBK-ready machine. The $38,888 (€36,700 now) may seem really steep but if you’re eyeing top electric performance, something’s gotta give.
- 1 Country Track (Sierra Nevada)
- 1 Naked Heavyweight bike
- 1 Superbike
- 1 Supersport bike.
A few elements will also support customization, just enough to give riders a taste of what can be found in the complete. We are actually downloading the package at the time of writing and are about to see what Ride is all about.
If you’re still not curious to give Ride a try, maybe the cinematic trailer after the jump will convince you to do so. Pre-ordering Ride will only cost you €39.99 for the standard version and €59.99 ($42 and $63, respectively) for the Digital Deluxe Edition.
