RhinoTire Technology to Rid Us of Punctures and Add Tire Life

Seen on Fundable, the RhinoTire project seems almost too good to be true: it comes with the promise of no more punctures, no more pressure loss, longer life, less noise and the list could go on. So, what's the catch?
RhinoTire inventor says there is no catch, only high-end technology put to good use: it's all down to a special compound which is sprayed on the inside of tires and which keeps its gummy form. This semi-solid polymer is squeezed out the puncture and solidifies, blocking it almost instantaneously, maintaining pressure and allowing the vehicle to keep on running.

Its developer claims that RhinoTire can cover holes up to a quarter of an inch diameter (6mm) and even more, it helps disperse heat better, offering up to 25% more tire life. RhinoTire is also touted to cause your tires to generate less noise on the road and improve fuel economy thanks to its ability of maintaining the pressure.

Unlike similar products which are injected into the air chamber through the valve, RhinoTire is applied in an uniform layer with the tire off the rim, with top-notch quality control, to ensure the best sealing. Suitable for all sorts of tires, RhinoTire can be applied to motorcycles, cars and even light trucks, with prices as low as $65 per tire (€48.5).

There is a small catch, though: RhinoTire only seems to work on tubeless tires, so if you're on the old-school enduro laced bikes, you'd better have spare tubes, tools and a flat spray with you on your trips.
