Revised Wiesmann MF4 and MF5 Coming to 2011 Geneva Auto Show
As you know, the the GT MF4 Coupe & Roadster, as well as the GT MF5 Coupe & Roadster use a mighty BMW heart. We are talking about a 4,395 cc unit that uses gasoline direct injection and turbocharging.
The MF4 range gets a 407 hp version of the engine, which allows the coupe to deal with the 0 to 60 mph sprint in 4.6 seconds and to offer a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
As for the MF5 line-up, this will be powered by a 555hp incarnation of the engine (the M version that can be found on the X5M. X6M and will also make its way under the hood of the future F10 M5). This allows the coupe to hit 62 mph from standstill in 3.9 seconds and offers it a top speed of 193 mph (310 km/h).
“Wiesmann will be banking on BMW twin turbo technology for their model series MF4 and MF5. The Wiesmann GT and Roadster MF4 and MF5 can now be ordered with the new engine types. These engines will be stronger and more agile, while working more efficiently and economically than their predecessors. Top priority in the selection of these new engines went to what Wiesmann is all about: unlimited driving fun,” the company brags.
