Renault ZOE - Frontal Crash Test

The ZOE, being a Renault will definitely be a very safe car, and we have no doubts whatsoever about that. It is because the French manufacturer has its own test center in Lardy, a test center which they inaugurated last year and was meant specifically for the development and testing of EVs, that we have so much confidence in them.
As you can see from the video, the ZOE performs very well in the standard 65 km/h (40 mph) front. The A-pillars, for instance, don’t curve one bit, and that’s a good sign as they are the weakest link in the car’s overall structural rigidity, as they can’t be too thick as they would block visibility, but not too thin, otherwise the crash protection would be inexistent - it wouldn’t be crash ‘protection’ any more.

We have high hopes for the reasonably-priced ZOE and this internal crash test just goes to confirm that Renault will be launching a winner, later this year.
