Renault Samsung Motors, Quality Leader in South Korea

Although it might sound a little hard to believe, Renault Samsung Motors has been ranked quality leader on the South Korean market for the 9th year in a row. Of course, this was only an annual survey conducted by Marketing Insight that took into consideration initial quality, durability, marketability, design, sales, after-sales, stress and overall satisfaction of the top brands in the country.

Renault Samsung Motors was thus placed on the leading position, ahead of top companies such as Hyundai, Kia, GM Daewoo and SsangYong, being ranked first in six out of eight categories. As expected, Renault Samsung rolled out a self-praising statement in which it applauded itself for the results.

"In the land of morning calm, Renault Samsung Motors' philosophy is 'never compromise on quality'. Firmly focused on customers and service, the brand's policy is continuing to bear fruit. For the ninth year running, the extensive annual survey held by Marketing Insight has ranked Renault Samsung Motors number one for quality on the South Korean market," it said in a statement for the press.

The categories in which the South Korean division belonging to Renault was ranked the first are the following:

• No.1 for Initial Quality
• No.1 for Marketability
• No.1 for Sales
• No.1 for After Sales
• No.1 for Quality Stress
• No.1 for Customer Satisfaction

"It's a great achievement to be customer satisfaction leader for nine years running. We'd like our ongoing progress to allow us to remain number one in 2011 and thus reach ten consecutive years," Jean-Marie Hurtiger, Chairman and Managing Director of Renault Samsung Motors, said.
