The all-new Renault Trafic has been officially announced today, arriving in 2014 to replace van and minivan models that have been in production since 2001.
An illustration released by the French carmaker gives us a rough idea of what to expect in terms of design. Not surprisingly, the grille looks just like the one we saw today on the Espace large MPV, spied for the first time during winter testing.
Speaking of spyshots, we have images of the Trafic van undergoing testing back in September 2013. They help us make better sense of this design sketch, both pointing toward keen, large headlights that flow towards the pillars.
“Its lines embody Renault’s new brand identity. My aim was to achieve a dynamic, assertive stance without sacrificing either the robustness or user-friendliness customers expect of their van,” notes the designer of New Renault Trafic, Kihyun Jung.
More details will be available "very soon", according to the French carmaker, who will likely show their LCV in Geneva next month. They even went as far as to say the engines for this van will "benefit from Renault’s expertise in the world of Formula 1 racing." That's a bit of a stretch...
