The Megane now sports a pearlescent white body finish, developed especially for the Monaco GP series of cars. A sharp contrast is achieved by using Etoile black components like side mirrors, rear diffuser, fog lamp surrounds and headlight masks. Also painted in the color is a set of “Monaco GP” badges on the sides of the car.
Inside the Megane, Renault designers have added a number of pearlescent white accents to the console, strip and door handles. As is the case with most special edition models, “Monaco GP” stitching has been embroidered onto the seats.
The Renault engineers also tinkered with the chassis of the car, improving “driving thrills, with no detriment to comfort.” Both models feature a sporty ESP system, as well as bi-xenon directional headlights and latest-generation dual-chamber airbags.
The five engine options available on the Coupe version are the dCi 110 EDC, dCi 130, dCi 160, Tce 130 and Tce 180. In the case of the Renault Megane RS Monaco GP, power will be provided by the existing 250 hp 2.0-liter 16V turbo engine. Unfortunately, prices have not been announced yet.
