Renault Gifts the Megane R.S. Two New Versions, Say Hello to 275 Cup-S and 275 Nav

The new Renault Megane was confirmed for debut next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015, which means at some point in 2017 or 2018 we should see the new Megane R.S. making a debut.

However, there's a long way to go up to that point, and the French carmaker knows that. Therefore, Renault came up with two new versions for the Megane R.S., namely the 275 Cup-S and 275 Nav. So let's talk about them one variant at a time.

First, the Megane R.S. 275 Cup-S. The hothatch is alreay on sale for £23,935 (roughly $36,769 at current exchange rates) and as the name suggests, it will be powered by the same 2.0-litre, 275 horsepower turbo petrol engine as found in the limited-edition 275 Trophy-R.

The special thing about the car is that it comes upgraded with the Cup Chassis Pack that offers a mechanical limited slip differential plus amenities such as red paint for the Brembo four-piston brake calipers, stiffer springs and dampers and a more rigid anti-roll bar. That's how you know the circuit is this hothatch's second home.

At the opposite pole lies the Renault Megane R.S. 275 Nav, which, according to Renault, "has a specification more suited to everyday road driving".

In other words, it only gets the standard Sport chassis and 18-inch Tibor alloy wheels, but fret not, hatchback lovers, the Cup Chassis Pack is still available, but only as an option.

Those sitting inside get dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors with colour camera and the R-Link v2 multimedia and navigation system.

Also, the 275 Nav version comes with the Renaultsport Leather Pack, which provides heated front seats, carbon grey Renaultsport leather upholstery and the possibility to electronically-adjust the driver's seat. Those with a racy attitude can go for the optional leather Recaro seats. For this versions, Renault is asking £25,935 (around $39,841 at current exchange rates).
