Pedigree of the brands - A Different View of the Story... ...Many of us own cars which come from rather famous brands. Plenty of times, even if you hate to admit it, the badge is the main reason to look at a certain car and, in the end, it's the decisive reason in actually choosing the "perfect"model. OK, there ... It's quite entertaining to watch those crazy stunts on TV and it's even more fun to attend such a show. All of us have probable dreamt at least once to do such things like jumping with a car over a dozen of clunkers or maybe barrels full of explosives (this would surely do the whole story more interesting).

Well, it's impossible, at least in case you're not going to dedicate your whole life to performing stunts. Or... you can travel to Portugal as some local architects recently proposed that high-speed car ramps to be installed on regular roads. Sounds stupid, isn't it? Well, the reason for such an insanity goes beyond this.

Portuguese architects Tiago Barros + Jorge Pereira and their team are claiming that installing high-speed car ramps on streets

would allow - check this out! - pedestrians and cyclists to pass under the highway without stopping. The cars that are jumping from the ramp would be required to accelerate in order to successfully land correctly...

OK, so let's imagine the following scenario. The cyclists, alongside pedestrians, will go under the highway while cars are flying - literally - over their heads. But what happens if one driver, for one reason or another, doesn't reach the needed speed to reach the other part of ramp? No comment...

The architects are claiming that such an "invention" would not only be more entertaining for everyday drivers but will also represent a new tourist attraction in the city.

Obviously, such a project has zero chances to become reality, at least not in a highly-populated area such as a city. However, in case this happens, don't forget to take your Bible every time you get behind the steering wheel..
