Reborn Belarusian M1nsk Shows TRX 300i Enduro Touring Model

Welcome the M1nsk TRX 300i, the new enduro-touring bike from the old Minsk factories. Well, not exactly from the very same production facilities, as we're dealing with new two-wheelers.

Not many riders in the Western markets know about the old Belarusian maker Minsk (just like the capital city), but after a period of hard decline, it looks like the manufacturer is back in business with some new machines, with the M1nsk TRX 300i being the flagship.

In case you think that there's much new Honda flavor in the M1nsk TRX 300i, you're not the only one. We've spotted some BMW cues, as well, but for a bike maker which is back from the dead, it may be excused for one or two generations.

M1nsk TRX 300i is powered by a 250cc injected 4-stroke single delivering 26 hp @ 8,000 rpm, with no torque figure specified. The mill is mated to a 6-speed transmission, which is good for a top speed of 140 km/h (87 mph).

USD forks and single-disc brakes seem a good complement for a bike with an 155kg (342 lbs), though this is not exactly the lightest quarter-liter we saw. On the cool side, the 15-liter (3.96) tank is sure to provide a range to cause envy.

Now, info on the pricing is missing, but if the M1nsk TRX 300i is truly reliable, then we've got a nice small-displacement tourer at hand. And we believe it is a rather cheap one.
