Reason No. 675 Why Double Parking is a Bad Idea

If you’re the type of person who worries about parking out in public due to unscrupulous door dings, then there is rarely a better sight than finding the ever-elusive end parking spot. The owner of the C6 Chevrolet Corvette you see above, though, didn’t think that was good enough, so he decided to park diagonally across two spots.
Now, how many times have you seen a car parked like this and wanted to do something about it? Let Reddit user AnotherCJMajor show you how it’s done. After finding the Corvette double parked right near the front of a restaurant, he used his wonderfully modified XJ Jeep Cherokee to teach this driver a lesson by parking the Jeep up on top of the curb parallel to the sports car. Better yet, he got it all on video.

I was stuck in traffic for 2 hours here in NJ and when I got to where I wanted to eat I saw this in a semi-busy parking lot. I figured I'd do this because I wasn't taking up two spaces and **** people like this. The reaction on his face when he got laughed at going in his car was priceless,” he wrote.

As some people pointed out in the comments, he was actually pretty generous in his parking job in that the Corvette driver was still able to get in through the driver’s side door. That being said, he was just in the wrong for his parking on the sidewalk.

The moral of this story is that if you feel the need to take up two parking spots, you might want to do so a little further away from the building. Even then, don’t be surprised if someone leaves a friendly note or adds some chalk parking lines for you to enjoy.
