Rapper T.I. Uses Custom Yamaha R1 to Promote AKOO Clothing Line

Visitors of last week’s Magic International Trade Show were taken by surprise by American rapper T.I., who used a breathtaking customized Yamaha YZF-R1 in order to promote his new clothing line, AKOO. In fact, it appears the bike reflected the style by the AKOO brand.

The Yamaha R1 in question was, in fact, the result of the collaboration between custom sportbike designer and builder Rob Uecker of Voodoo Industries and the AKOO Clothing design team.

"What makes this Yamaha R1 so unique is the unusual mixture of textures and materials," stated Uecker. "When I look at the AKOO brand I see classic, rugged American styling. But I know T.I. is a serious rider, so it was important to me to accentuate the R1's aggressive street stature. I worked closely with the AKOO design team to translate those aesthetics onto the Yamaha canvas, and the result is the best sportbike I have ever built."

Dubbed AKOO YZF-R1, the bike comes in a luxurious exterior paint, complemented by a massive Avon 300 MM custom back tire, a one of a kind single sided swingarm built by C&S Customs and RC Components Czar Eclipse custom wheels.
