In the name of burning rubber and other holy things, what is that ridiculous price tag? Who in their right mind would pay Bugatti Veyron money on a 1970s Plymouth Barracuda? As it happens, a lot of people are interested in low-mileage Cudas, and this Rallye Red-painted car here is part of that rarefied breed.

With 2,010 miles (3,235 km) on the odometer, HEMI Cudas don't come more original than this. According to the seller, what you can admire in the photo gallery below is "the highest optioned HEMI Cuda known to exist," with original everything – from the Dana 60 rear end to the Polyglass rubber and A727 TorqueFlite 3-speed heavy-duty automatic transmission.

Look beyond the factory punch card and you will be surprised to find out that the 426 HEMI V8 still features factory fluids. I don't know if that's a good thing or something to worry about, but still, does HEMI Cuda ownership get more original than this? Mind you, the 4-barrel carburetted 425 horsepower motor should be given brand new fluids if the future owner plans to use it every weekend or so, if it's sunny outside.

So there you have it. Why spend almost $2 million on a Bugatti Veyron hypercar when this HEMI Cuda could be in your garage? Everyone knows that the two are total opposites in terms of age, performance, and fan base, but for some car collectors out there nothing beats the charisma of a clean Mopar machine.

In related news, did you know that Fiat-Chrysler is developing an all-new Barracuda? Underpinned by a platform shared with the Alfa Romeo Giulia, the upcoming Cuda will wear Dodge badges and will be a bit smaller than the next-gen Dodge Challenger. Now that's a future muscle car that's worth waiting for.
