A rat-cafe-racer? Sounds weird, but the Poland-based Rafal Rodents rat-rod is a stunning bike, and a quick glance at it is more than enough to convince anyone that these guys have their way with custom bike-building.
Cafe-racers are of course, nice, but a rat-rod introduces something completely new in the big picture. With all the retro racers being carefully painted and well taken care of, seeing a bike proudly displaying rusty cowls and a tank some fancier riders won't even dare touch is really awesome.
As realistic as it looks, the rust is fake: a special paint was loaded in Aerograf's master painter Przemek Drozd airbrush and he worked his magic on the old Honda CB550, managing to go as close to the real deal as humanly possible. All this rust makes a mind-boggling contrast with the neatly sandblasted and powder coated frame and wheels and the stunning, immaculate white exhaust pipes.
The engine was also cleaned and painted and received a nifty polish on the covers. All non-essential parts have been taken off this rat-rod, including gauges, control lights and original fenders, while the re-wiring made everything looks even tidier.
A custom ribbed leather seat and clip-on low bars complement the lowered stance of this bike and add the final touches for a ton of glorious attitude.
