Radical Introduce Entry-Level SR1 [Photo Gallery]

Well, the new ‘entry-level’ Radical, the SR1 is exactly what you were looking for. For that kind of money, you get 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, a top speed of 220 km/h (138 mph) and one of the best handling chassis of any car, ever.

Powering this road-legal race car is a Suzuki motorbike engine which displaces 1340cc and produces 210 hp at 10,500 rpm as well as a maximum torque figure of 176 Nm (130 lb-ft). The power is transferred to the road via six-speed sequential gearbox which, while in motion, can be shifted without the use of the clutch, motorbike-style. Also, in order not to spin all the power off, the SR1 gets a mechanical LSD as well as race-spec slick tires. Its stopping power is ensured by 240 mm ventilated disk with four-pot race-spec calipers front and rear.
