Hawaii's famous surfer Shane Patrick Dorian recently bought himself a new Toyota Tundra and seems to be really happy about the pickup truck. Known as an intrinsic part of American culture, the half-ton monster will make you feel stronger only sitting in the passenger seat. It would seem the surfer also got it all personalized for him to drive it anywhere.
The 42-year old surfer is known for his several awards he won in his entire career. Since turning up on the surf media map in the 1980s, the once-tiny kid from the Big Island has won a Hawaiian state title, pushed the paddle-in limits on the North Shore’s outer reefs, redefined deep tube riding, helped spearhead the “New School” of surfing, won WCT events, contended for a world title, and continues to be on the frontier of cutting-edge, high-performance surfing.
This fellow is obviously a person who won’t just quit his adventurous life, so it’s clear he won’t mind fuel efficiency, which is not the strong spot for the Tundra. However, the 2014 model the surfer bought comes with a whole new level of style, sophistication and refinement that Tundra didn’t have before. The hood has been lifted by 40 mm and a lot of the round and bubbly edges that were on the old models have been squared off, including the wheel arches.
As to Shane’s Toyota, it seems he got its wheels changed with Dropstars' ones and the interior packed with the Kicker Audio system.
