Hello, productive members of our corporate society! The Mercedes-AMG GT is the car all bosses secretly want to own, even the ones that drive a Porsche. But the Prior Design AMG GT tuning project is for bosses that drink protein shakes, shave their chest and have at least one object made from crocodile leather.
You've seen one widebody AMG GT, you've seen them all. That's why for this year's edition of the Essen Motor Show, Prior went with a gold wrap to update the design. Don't worry; it's not real gold, but the same type of chrome wrap that's been used in the industry for years.
The kit called PD800GT includes some pretty gnarly looking fender flares that make the AMG look like it has exploded muscles from steroid abuse. Also, the car features a revised hood, front and rear bumpers and what look to be 3-piece PD3Forged wheels with a golden finish. Carbon fiber can also be seen on some of the aero elements.
After you're done staring at the gold AMG GT, wondering what you did wrong with your life, check out the other Essen project.
It's called the PD990SC, and it's based on the super-sexy but slightly more discreet S-Class Coupe. With so many mods going on, it's difficult to tell if this builds on the S63 AMG or something else, but it doesn't really matter because the widebody aero kit probably works with everything.
They've lowered and added so much width to the car that it looks like the CLA 45 AMG from the front. And because the fender flares go all the way to the rockers, Prior have had to engineer brand new bumpers, rocker panels, and skirts. They didn't stop there either, as the bulging hood is new and aching for attention. Meanwhile, the interior is dripping with white leather and contrasting Alcantara.
