In February this year, the Monegasque government gave the green light to a fresh vehicle incentive scheme, with the initiative being led by His Serene Highness, in order to encourage eco-friendly cars in the Principality. In order to lead by example, the prince will now use the Prius Plug-in Hybrid for private purposes, as the car only emits 49 grams per km.

“We are proud to deliver our first Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle in Europe to His Serene Highness,” said Didier Leroy, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Europe. “We are honoured to continue our long standing partnership to contribute to the environmental and sustainability objectives defined by H.S.H. Prince Albert II.”
