Pramac Ducati Adds Lapizta as Official Timekeeper and Sponsor, Cool Watches Inside

Ducati’s satellite team Pramac has just inked an important deal with Lapizta, a Doral, Florida-based new watchmaker which has very strong ties with the world of extreme sports. The new sponsor addition could not come at a better time, as Pramac is making the final preparations to start the 2015 season with new machinery, in the form of the Desmosedici GP14.2 and GP14 for Yonny Hernandez and Danilo Petrucci, respectively.

Considering the fact that Lapizta is a six-employee family-run business, having them in the MotoGP paddock is a truly wonderful example of how far can dedication to motorsports take one and open doors which are hard to even look at for others.

The third watchmaker in MotoGP

Lapizta, a company whose operations started back in 2010, becomes the third watchmaker name to be associated with MotoGP for the 2015 season, after Tissot and Lotus. The latter is present in the paddocks thanks to an endorsement deal inked with two-times world champion Marc Marquez, while Tissot has a much stronger presence, having been the title sponsor for the Australian GP in the past.

Powersports-dedicated wrist watches

The owners of Lapizta are keen sportsmen themselves, and their 8 collections are inspired from their very hobbies. For example, Naty Mizrachi is a skydiver with more than 1,600 jumps, while Daniel Schachtel raced cars in Costa Rica. Even more, Mizrachi’s brother-in-law, who is also the company’s executive vice president is a master diver.

As far as we’re concerned, the Lapizta Accentor watch is the one dedicated to riders, with the silicone strap proudly displaying a design inspired by the motorcycle sport tires, and the bezel neatly accented in the vein of a brake rotor’s drilling pattern.

Another cool watch which could be a very nifty addition to a rider’s garments is Oryx, which retains the drilled brake disc bezel but in a different pattern. Other collections evoke aviation, diving and racing cars, and a watch dedicated to ladies is of course on the menu, too. Check out the Lapizta collections and choose your favorite timekeeping piece.
