Praga Cars, from the Czech Republic Slovakia, a builder of track-focused racing machines, has revealed that the engine which will be powering their R1 track-only racer. It is a RenaultSport-sourced unit, displacing 2.0-liters, and pushing out 210 hp, at 7,500 rpm, without the use of a turbocharger.
While the manufacturer has not released official performance data, the R1 should be extremely quick, as it only weighs 590 kg, and therefor has a power to weight ratio of 356 hp per ton. The engine’s instant naturally-aspirated power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox, made by Hewland JFR.

The car achieves such a low weight, courtesy of the carbon monocoque construction it benefits from, which has inbuilt crumple zones, and it protects the vital components in the event of a crash, by sending the energy of an impact around the entire bodyshell, and not concentrating it in only one spot.

If you want to drive such a vehicle, you will have to shell out €98,000 or $128,300.
