Panamera benefits from Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (VTS), a vehicle security package approved to Thatcham Category 5 standard, for those who misplace it or are unfortunate enough to have it stolen.
Safety features, even if they come in great numbers, do not bring anything new to the market. In addition to the Porsche Stability Management (PSM), the Panamera is filled with airbags- driver and front passenger, curtain, side and knee, and even rear side side airbags, as an option for the S and 4S versions.
Infotainment is ensured via the Porsche Communication Management, which features touch-screen satellite navigation and audio controls and a Bluetooth telephone module, complete with cordless handset for use by rear seat passengers.
A first ever for Porsche will be the use of the Burmester sound system, providing a dazzling 1,000 watts of sound from the 16 loudspeakers with just as much amplifier channels, complemented by a 300 watt subwoofer.
If you like and can afford the Panamera, the company will reward you, once you bought one, with a free experience day at the new Porsche Driving Experience Centre in Silverstone, so that you get an idea of what the car wants you do with it.
