Porsche Panamera Sales Exceed 22,000 Units

The Porsche Panamera has proved to be a highly successful sales performer. The German Grand Tourer has now reached one year of presence on the market, with the vehicle registering sales of 22,518 units in this period (2,530 of these were sold in Germany alone).

In addition to that, customers have placed additional purchase orders that play in the four figures league.

The most successful vehicle market for the car is North America, where 890 units were delivered in Los Angeles and 760 in New York. The Asian market comes next with 300 Panameras in Hong Kong, 223 in Tokyo and 188 in Shanghai. Other cities that welcomed a significant number of Panamera units are Dubai (285), Moscow (203), Munich (206), Hamburg (117) and Berlin (108).

“Our corporate strategy of value-oriented growth has proven itself to be a successful model: With the Panamera, Porsche has clearly positioned itself with the sportiest automobile in the high-end and luxury-class market and achieves already a 13 per-cent share of its segment today,” said Bernhard Maier, Member of the Management Board for Sales and Marketing of the Porsche AG.

The Panamera range includes five models: Panamera and Panamera 4 with a 300 hp six-cylinder unit, Panamera S and Panamera 4S, which use a 400 hp eight-cylinder engine and the Panamera Turbo (500 hp V8). The most successful models are the Panamera 4S (9,394 units), Panamera Turbo (6,171 units) and Panamera S (4,563 units).

"The Panamera Turbo can be customized to your personal tastes with a 40 HP performance enhancer, as well as a sport design package. In addition, the Porsche Exclusive and Porsche Tequipment packages are available for each model as add-ons to the standard series equipment to make your vehicle personal and exclusive,” stated the press release.
