It seems the recently revealed Porsche Macan isn’t quite finished yet, as engineers are still using a camouflaged prototype to test that everything about the management systems is as it should be. After all, you don’t want the gearbox to judder while you’re going up a ramp or the engine to stop while bay parking.
Judging from the exhaust and the Chrono Pack, this could should be the Macan S, equipped with a 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine delivering 340 hp through an active all-wheel drive and a PDK seven-speed double-clutch gearbox. Acceleration is a very sportscar like 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.

Unfortunately, the video tells us precious little about the car that we didn’t already know, but it’s exciting to think this SUV that we’ve been following for a year now will soon be a production reality that we’ll see every day.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
