Earlier today, we’ve talked about the Porsche Macan, as well as about its US pricing and now it’s time to see the first driving footage of the crossover.
For the clip, Porsche has taken the Macan to Vancouver, Canada, driving the crossover all around the city and offering us both day and night scenes. The carmaker has also released a second video of the Macan, offering us a studio walkaround of the vehicle.
Porsche explains that the Macan is no compact SUV, but rather a sports car with “plenty of space for hobbies, leisure and sport”. While this is just press release talk, we do expect the new Macan to be a pretty good tool for people who want go-anywhere capability without the disconnected driving experience of a crossover.
The Macan comes with standard all-wheel drive, with the system using a multi-plate clutch. The rear axle is the one getting the drive, while the front one receives power from it. However, the aforementioned multi-plate clutch can send 100 percent of the muscle up front.
