Porsche Cayman GT4 Borrows 1989 Miller High Life Porsche 962 Livery in Rendering

Since we've brought you plenty of stories involving 911 GT3 RS units wearing custom colors, from extreme liveries to a full respray, we didn't want the Cayman GT4 to be left behind.

And since last time we brought you an eye-catching GT4 whose level of customization had to do with Porsche Exclusive, we wanted something wilder for today's story.

As a result, we turned to the world of renderings, and we have to admit that, thanks to Hansen Art, we're not disappointed. How could we, when the GT4 rendered above wears a historical Porsche livery with such a deep pedigree?

As Zuffenhausen aficionados have noticed, this GT4 has borrowed the apparel of the 1989 Miller High Life Porsche 962, along with wheels that remind us of the Dayton 24 Hours-winning racecar.

Porsche built multiple 962 between 1984 and 1991, but the car being mentioned here, chassis number 962-108, was the fastest of its era.

Endurance racing legend Derek Bell described this as his favorite Group C Porsche. That's no small praise, especially since it came from a racing driver who relied on Porsche for obtaining four of his five Le Mans wins and three Dayton trophies, while grabbing two World Sports Car Championship titles.

The car was run by Porsche privateer Jim Busby, with BF Goodrich and Miller Brewing Company as his sponsors. As it happens, this particular 962 hit the auction block earlier this year and was estimated to fetch between $2.5 and $3 million.

Those of you who want to know more about the Miller High Life machine are invited to hit the "play" button below.

P.S.: Yes, your conclusion is right. Despite Porsche's GT division only giving us a limited number of GT4s (2,500) and GT3 RS units (2,000) each year, it seems more and more owners feel the need to customize their rides, so this rendering may become reality one day.
