Porsche calls its latest custom project a "clear commitment to freedom" and they are not in the wrong about that one. Because the days of summer are fast approaching, the new Boxster's clean lines are all the more appealing, but this unique coat of paint is like a sprinkling of magic fairy dust over the top.
The car has been built by Porsche Exclusive, a customization program that allows buyers with very deep pockets to get exactly the colors and features they want. It's projects like this that allow Porsche to make $18,000 in profit for every model they sell, but that's another story.
The Riviera Blue color is only one part of the customization. The buyer of this cool roadster also opted to get the Sports Chassis, which cuts 20mm from the suspension, and the SportDesign cosmetic package. Details like the front grille, side air intakes or the wheels have all been finished in black, reminding us of the classic 911 that were so cool in the 70s and 80s.
Porsche Exclusive options like the brushed aluminum interior package or the PCM infotainment system surround covered in leather also contribute to the "wow" factor. Even the air vent surrounds and the rearview mirror have been covered in leather, though frankly, this is something a lot of Porsches have.
Custom door sill guards in stainless steel have also been crafted and feature an illuminated outline of the Porsche race course in Leipzig. The three pedals (yes, it's a manual) and footrest have also been customized with their own aluminum design.
If these photos have sparked your appetite for unique factory-built Porsches, check out their previous "Exclusive" project, this 911 Turbo in Lime Gold.
