Each Porsche AG employee that joined the company between August 1 2009 will receive a bonus of EUR2,100 ($2,870.5) for the completed fiscal year 2009/2010 (July 31).
“The employees of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart,, will again be receiving a bonus in 2010 in recognition of their outstanding commitment. The Executive Board and Group Works Council are of the opinion that the high level of flexibility and mobility of the workforce have made a significant contribution towards keeping Porsche stable in difficult times and sustainably strengthening its global market position,” stated the press release.
The bonus will be paid along with the salary at the end of next month. In addition to that, in November 2010, Porsche will be offering a full 13th month remuneration as a Christmas Bonus.
“The extraordinarily high level of motivation within the Porsche team, which is pulling together in a very powerful way, is our most unique asset. The bonus is therefore intended to provide both recognition and further motivation," said Michael Macht, the outgoing President of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, who will be moving to the Executive Board of Volkswagen AG as of October 1.
“We have always worked to ensure that our employees participate in the company’s profits, because the workforce is the basis of our success. The employees have truly earned their bonus," added Uwe Huck, Chairman of the Group Works Council.
The bonus represent an increase from the previous year, when each employee received a special payment of EUR1,100 ($1,503).
