The XC90 is undoubtedly one of the most important cars launched in 2015. It's the winner of several Car of the Year titles around the world; it was rewarded with growing sales; heck, even I want one and it's not exactly my type of SUV.
There are many reasons why it got so much attention. For starters, we had to wait 12 freaking years for it to arrive, which is almost unheard of in this day and age, when most car makers launch new models every 5 or 6 years. It also spearheaded Volvo's technology and design, while remaining one of the most advanced models in the segment.
The XC90 can detect kangaroos and has been styled better than all the IKEA furniture combined. However, it still doesn't have the curb appeal of some of its rivals. BMW's X5 has an M version nearing 600 ponies and a tri-turbo diesel, while Audi has just launched the SQ7. Please, don't get us started on Mercedes, which offers crazy amounts of power on every SUV, right up to the V12-powered G-Class. Meanwhile, the XC90 only uses 2-liter engines.
To compensate, Volvo is trying to make self-driving cars and even designed a lounge-like area where the front seat is replaced by a baby seat. However, we want to focus on the moment that comes nine months before the baby is born.
Poland has managed to surprise us with a professional looking photo shoot of epic proportions featuring the XC90 and the sort of girl you wish you had when you were wealthy enough to afford a new SUV. Her name is Justyna... just Justyna, and she was shot by a local photographer called Agnes Kubicka for Moto.pl. This is classy stuff, not that miss tuning dirty nonsense. However, the model shows enough skin to get our blood boiling.
