Back in 2009, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show witnessed a very unlikely mutation. A team of enthusiasts which call themselves Heide Performance Products (HPP) introduced the Plymouth Superbird of a very unlikely origin.
The team took the body of a Dodge Charger and chopped away at it until they got this here vehicle. Named by the team Daytona concept, the car (or, actually, the kit to convert the Challenger) has entered production and will sell to all those interested for $16,000. That's the minimum sum though, as adding all the features listed below will bring the value of the package to above $40,000, Challenger not included.
The goodies under the hood are a Vortech Supercharged 5.7l V8 engine which spits around 600 hp. Under the car, the K&W Coil Over Adjustable Suspension helps the car keep to the ground. The exterior and interior features are listed below:
