Introduced at the 2013 SEMA Show, the 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker brought the iconic shaker hood back on Chrysler’s popular musclecar. Priced from $36,995, the special edition model is already on sale and, according to a batch of photos that surfaced the Internet recently, on its way to US showrooms.
Scat Pack Forums member David Hakim was minding his own business in Detroit a few days ago when he spotted one of these new Shaker hood Challengers on a trailer that was also carrying two Ram 1500 pickup trucks. The driver allowed David to take a few snaps, which means you’ll be looking at the first photos of the R/T Shaker except for the ones provided by Chrysler or seen during SEMA.
As a brief reminder, the Shaker Challenger is also offered with a Super Track Pak, a flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel, Napa leather sports seats with “Shaker” logos, a “K-Black” instrument panel and an aluminum pistol-grip shifter.
The vehicle is available in six exterior colors - Billet Silver Metallic, Bright White, Pitch Black, Plum Crazy, TorRed and Header Orange - and we should start seeing them on the road this spring.
