The marriage between the bicycle and the electric motor is a natural one, as human power can easily replenish the batteries while on the move. There are already quite a few different types of such bicycles for sale, however, none are quite as cool looking as the BlackBlock2 by the German firm, PG-Bikes.
However, don’t let the sleek lines trick you into thinking that this bike is another example of all form, and no function - quite the opposite. Not only does it look very good (for a bicycle), but it also features two hub motors (one on the back and one on the front), each producing 0.25 W or 1kW, depending on which version of the bike you prefer (25 Km/h or 45 Km/h), with the power being transmitted to the road via a Shimano XT 8-speed transmission.

While the 486 Wh lithium-ion battery pack’s range has yet to be announced, it should be around the 40 - 50 Km mark. The bike is also fully customizable, with each component having the possibility of being individually painted a certain color - you’d expect that and more, wouldn’t you, given that you have to pay €5,990 ($7,540) for one.
