Peugeot RCZ GT-Line Revealed with Sportier Look for Basic Coupe

Taking a page out of Audi's S line book, Peugeot has just launched the RCZ GT-Line model in Europe. If the car in our photos looks familiar, that's because it looks exactly like the RCZ R hot model, but it's powered by the basic engines.

Available in France from €34,950, the GT-Line offers customers the same look as the RCZ R with a choice of either the 1.6-liter turbocharged THP making 200 hp or the 2-liter diesel HDi unit rated at 163 hp.

It's not only about the looks, as the GT-Line package is supposed to deliver a more engaging feeling… somehow. But all we see that they've spruced up the grille, added 19-inch alloy wheels in the "Le Mans" design and fitted chrome exhaust tips.

The interior gives you upholstery in dark gray Alcantara and black leather, tied together by the red stitching on the instrument panel, steering wheel, shift lever, floor mats, door interior trim. The sporty nature of the car is underlined by the shorter shift lever, leather sports steering wheel and aluminum pedals.

Standard kit includes Bi-Xenon headlights with cornering function, the navigation system WIP Nav Plus and LED daytime running lights. Of course, this being Peugeot, you also have a wide range of colors to choose from and are even able to specify the finish you want for the alloy wheels.

Peugeot has also installed the artificial sound generator from the 308 GT, but only on the 200 hp petrol engine, since the diesel is an older generation.

Editor's note: I swear, somebody at Peugeot looked at the new Audi TT, realized people are buying the S line models and decided to offer the "GT-Line".
