Peugeot Proxima Concept Shows Up at Goodwood [Video]
This concept car was introduced by the French company back in 1986, at the Paris Motor Show, as a vehicle packed with electronic features that had its body made out of carbon fiber, while the bright red and blue cockpit was covered by a polycarbonate roof.
Developed to showcase some of the technology fitted in the World Rally Championship-winning Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, the Proxima concept was powered by a 2.8-liter V6 engine that delivered 600 HP thanks to the two turbocompressors and two air-liquid intercoolers attached to it. Impressive, huh?
Other outstanding features for the era included a multi-point sequential injection. automatic actuators, electronic module-operated multi-disk clutch, ventilated carbon disc brakes with ABS, and electronic key-card.
Why dig this concept after such a long time?, Well, Peugeot decided to show it at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed so it’s really not our fault. Scroll below for the video.
